Top Gun: Maverick premiered in Cannes, starring Tom Cruise. Pregnant Adriana Lima, Jennifer Connelly, Eva Longoria, Elle Fanning, Aishwarya Rai, Princess Diana’s nieces Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer and others took to the red carpet.

At the height of the action on the red carpet, a group of fighter jets appeared in the sky, which released smoke in the colors of the French flag.

The film follows test pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell as he prepares a squad of Top Gun graduates for a special mission the likes of which has never been seen, and meets young Lieutenant Bradley Bradshaw, the son of his late friend.
