King Charles III turns 74. The new official portrait of the monarch
Buckingham Palace has shared an official portrait in honor of the 74th birthday of King Charles III of Great Britain.
In the picture, the birthday man stands with a cane against the background of an old tree and poses in the sun. The shot was taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson.
In addition, on the page of the British monarchs in the social network reported that King Charles III took the official post of Ranger of Windsor Great Park. Previously, these duties were performed by the late father of the birthday boy, Prince Philip, who died in April 2021.
“His Majesty the King has officially become the Ranger of Windsor Great Park, seventy years after his father, the Duke of Edinburgh, was appointed to this position,” Buckingham Palace said.
In his new role, the eldest son of the late Queen Elizabeth II will provide oversight and guidance to the Deputy Ranger and his team as they manage one of Britain’s oldest estates.
