Musk cuts Tesla staff by 10% and suspends hiring
American billionaire and founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, said that his company is forced to reduce the staff for the production of electric vehicles by 10%. The company also suspended the hiring of new specialists around the world.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk sent an email to company executives titled “Suspend hiring worldwide.” In it, the businessman gave the order to reduce the staff by about 10% and suspend the hiring of new employees. Musk argued that he had a very bad feeling about the state of the economy. In another email sent to company employees on Tuesday evening, the businessman asked Tesla employees to return to the office or leave the company.
“Everyone at Tesla must be in the office for at least 40 hours a week. If you don’t show up, we’ll assume you’ve resigned,” Musk wrote.
