Quentin Tarantino names six ideal films

Quentin Tarantino attended Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his recently released book Film Speculation.

There, Tarantino wrote that there are “very few perfect films,” but The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of them.

When asked by host Jimmy Kimmel what other films he considers “perfect”, Tarantino replied: “Well, there are not so many of them – it just says that the cinematic art form is difficult <…> Ideal films, to one degree or another, affect all aesthetics” .

And here are the films he thinks fall into that category:

Jaws (1975)
Exorcist (1973)
Annie Hall (1977)
“Some people might say ‘Young Frankenstein’, which I can understand” (1974)
Back to the Future (1985)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
