The World Drone Racing Championship is coming soon. The main prize is $100,000
The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) has chosen South Korea to host the 2023 World Drone Racing Championship. The competition, the largest of its kind, has a $100,000 prize pool.
Drone operators will meet after a three-year break caused by the global coronavirus pandemic. Drone racing will take place from October 6 to 9, 2023 at Chunghyangol Stadium in the province, which is located near the capital of South Korea, Seoul.
The co-organizers will be the Korea Model Aircraft Association and the Korean Aeronautics Federation. In addition to the races themselves, the FAI Drone Soccer conference and competitions are provided. After the races, spectators and participants will be able to attend various cultural events, as well as a big concert.
The previous (2018 and 2019) FAI World Drone Racing Championships were held in China.
