Starbucks considering selling UK business

Coffee chain Starbucks is exploring options to sell British assets. At the moment, there are no specific agreements yet, the company is evaluating options. Starbucks turned to the American bank Houlihan Lokey with a request to evaluate the British business. It is noted that the main reason for such a decision could be the high competition from the networks Pret A Manger, Tim Hortons and Costa. According to Starbucks’ 2021 financial report, there are more than 1,000 coffee shops in the UK, employing about 4,000 people. The company’s total revenue in the country amounted to $389 million.
