197 Yachts in Monaco: How the 2026 Formula 1 Grand Prix Turned the Principality Into the Capital of the Superyacht World
Each year, the Monaco Grand Prix attracts one of the most impressive gatherings of superyachts anywhere in the world. Yacht owners, charter guests, and Formula 1 enthusiasts descend on the French Riviera for what remains motorsport’s most glamorous event. Cutting-edge new builds, iconic charter vessels, and industry-defining flagships create an atmosphere that has become inseparable from the legendary race weekend.
According to BOATPro data, 197 yachts were located in and around Monaco on race day, June 7, 2026. The figure once again confirmed the Grand Prix’s status as one of the premier superyacht gatherings on the Mediterranean calendar.
Among the largest vessels spotted along the coastline were the 122-meter Kismet, the 118.8-meter Breakthrough, the 111-meter Alaiya, the 106.1-meter Amadea, the 101.5-meter Symphony, and the 101.2-meter Attessa IV.
While Port Hercule remained the center of activity throughout race week, yachts were spread across nearly the entire coastline, from Fontvieille and Cap d’Ail to anchorages stretching along the French Riviera. The fleet included newly delivered vessels, award-winning superyachts, and some of the most recognizable yachts ever built, creating a spectacular backdrop for the Grand Prix.
For comparison, Monaco set a record during the 2025 race weekend, when 202 yachts were recorded in and around the principality. In 2024, there were 187 yachts, compared to 192 in 2023 and 167 in 2022.
Kismet

Length: 122m
Builder: Lürssen
Kismet needs little introduction. Last year, she earned the industry’s highest honor at the World Superyacht Awards, taking home the title of Motor Yacht of the Year 2025. Even two years after delivery, she remains one of the most talked-about yachts in the world.
Her exterior was designed by Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard, while the interiors were created by British design firm Reymond Langton.
On board, guests will find a Balinese-inspired spa, a partially underwater Art Deco cinema, and a main salon inspired by the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles.
Available for charter through Cecil Wright at €3 million per week, Kismet ranks among the most expensive charter yachts on the market.
Breakthrough

Length: 118.8m
Builder: Feadship
Fresh off winning Motor Yacht of the Year at the 2026 World Superyacht Awards, Breakthrough is already regarded as one of the most significant projects in modern yachting.
Delivered in 2025, she became the world’s first superyacht powered by hydrogen fuel cells.
Both the exterior and interior were designed by British studio RWD. Her elegant blue hull and sweeping profile quickly established her as one of the most recognizable yachts afloat.
With a gross tonnage of 7,247GT, Breakthrough features a dedicated owner’s deck, a library stocked with thousands of books, a wellness center with spa facilities, a cinema, a submerged Nemo lounge, and an extraordinary number of fold-out balconies and terraces.
A system of 16 hydrogen fuel cells generates 3.2 megawatts of electricity, representing one of the most significant technological advances the industry has seen to date.
Symphony

Length: 101.5m
Builder: Feadship
Symphony became the first Feadship yacht to exceed the 100-meter mark. She was commissioned by Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton.
British designer Tim Heywood created the yacht’s exterior design.
Named in honor of her owner’s passion for classical music, Symphony features a grand piano on board.
Her six decks and 3,463GT of volume accommodate an outdoor cinema, a glass-bottom swimming pool, and a private owner’s deck complete with a sauna, Jacuzzi, and office designed by François Zuretti.
Attessa IV

Length: 101.2m
Builder: Hayashikane / Rebuilt by Washington Yachting Group
Attessa IV is one of the most recognizable yachts on the Riviera and the result of one of the most ambitious rebuild projects ever undertaken in the industry.
Originally launched in Japan as Evergreen, the yacht was extensively transformed for American industrialist Dennis Washington. The reconstruction included a completely redesigned bow and stern, a new superstructure, and entirely reimagined interiors.
Spanning more than 2,300 square meters across five decks, the yacht offers exceptional living space.
Highlights include a dramatic central staircase, a spa area connected to the beach club platform, a cinema, multiple guest lounges, and the renowned Chihuly Lounge, centered around a monumental glass sculpture by acclaimed American artist Dale Chihuly.
Lionheart

Length: 90m
Builder: Benetti
When she launched in 2016, Lionheart was the largest yacht ever built by Benetti.
She marked the third yacht commissioned from the Italian shipyard by Sir Philip Green.
The exterior was designed by Stefano Natucci, while the interiors were created by Green & Mingarelli Design.
Despite her prominence, the yacht’s interior spaces remain largely hidden from public view.
