On September 30, 2025, Kyiv hosted the presentation of the academic publication Accounting and Auditing of Electronic Money Transactions — the first scientific work in Ukraine dedicated to the systematic study of digital currencies. The author of the monograph is Anna Stovpova.

Among the guests were members of parliament and business representatives. Zhan Beleniuk emphasized the relevance of the topic following the parliament’s adoption of the cryptocurrency bill. Yehor Cherniev, Deputy Head of the Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, stated:

“Ukraine is among the first countries to regulate the virtual assets market. After the war, by accepting payments in digital currency, Ukraine will be able to compete globally. Anna’s contribution to science is especially important — creating a monograph is a crucial part of developing this field.”

Nazarii Volianskyi, Director for Government Relations in Ukraine at the largest independent Polish fuel and energy group, highlighted the practical value of the monograph for business and the country’s post-war recovery.

The authors of the monograph are Anna Stovpova (PhD, Doctor of Digital Currency, author of financial literacy and investment programs, with professional experience at central banks including the National Bank of Ukraine and the Bank of England, Department for the Creation of the UK’s Central Bank Digital Currency, CBDC) and Mykola Bondar (Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Tax Management at KNEU named after Vadym Hetman).

This is the first research in Ukraine that explains how to conduct accounting and auditing of electronic money, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and CBDCs. The authors combine an academic approach with international practices (USA, UK, Singapore, Switzerland, UAE) and explore the investment potential of digital currencies.

The monograph serves as a practical tool for entrepreneurs, accountants, auditors, investors, civil servants, educators, and students of economics — for everyone already working with digital finance today.

Anna emphasized that a particularly meaningful milestone for her is that Amazon USA has offered and signed a publishing contract, with the book set to be released on the global platform in November 2025. According to her, this achievement is not only personal but also a testament to Ukraine’s authoritative voice in the global digital currency arena.

In addition to her academic and professional accomplishments, Anna is the founder of Doctor of Digital Currency, an educational platform and community that has already reached thousands of learners worldwide.
