The price of gas in Europe has exceeded 1200 dollars

The price of gas in Europe during trading on Thursday, May 12, exceeded $1,200 per thousand cubic meters. This is evidenced by the data of the ICE exchange.

The June futures price at the TTF hub rose to $1,236.3 per thousand cubic meters, or EUR 114.745 per MWh. In general, during the day, the cost of gas increased by more than 20 percent.

Earlier it became known that the GTS Operator of Ukraine stopped gas transit to Europe through the Sohranivka gas distribution station in the Luhansk region. The decision was made due to force majeure — the impossibility of transporting gas through Sokhranivka and the border compressor station (CS) Novopskov. Because of this, nominations for transportation will be rejected, and gas will not be accepted.
