Hi, Sol. Thank you for taking the time to talk with us today.
As is often said: a talented person is talented in everything. You are a singer, songwriter, and
actress. What led you to choose such a creative career path?

I believe art has always been my passion and my strong suit. I have always been aiming to do things that are related to different shapes of art such as singing, acting, painting, or poetry. All of these things have flipped my life 180 degrees on its head. If I am working on an art project, I do it 100%. I think it has always been my calling.

When did you first discover that music and acting are of interest to you?

I have been dreaming of recording my songs since my childhood. For me personally, it seems as though I’ve always been obsessed with music and acting. I had to break out of my comfort zone constantly because it didn’t always go well but I was doing my best. No matter how intimidating it was, I was working towards my goals. After my dad passed away, I miraculously was afforded an opportunity to act. I was made up. I was like: «‎Now it’s my chance». So… I took lessons and I went to America, London, and other places just to keep doing what I really loved.

Who has inspired you in your life and why?

Van Gogh is a great example of an artist that inspires me a lot. The fact that he became world famous
only after he passed away strikes me to the core.
Van Gogh is a great example of an artist who inspires me a lot. The fact that he became world-famous only after he passed away strikes me to the core. I also admire Emma Thompson. She comes across as an intelligent, persistent, and inspiring woman. Generally, I believe that not only talented people can draw my attention but also those who are not afraid of working hard, being persistent, and setting goals for themselves to achieve.

We are all looking forward to the release of the new movie “Memory”, where you starred. Tell us
more about this incredible project.

This film is amazing because it touches on such a crucial and sensitive topic at the same time.
It tells us about Alzheimer. It’s obvious that not many people are eager to talk about it that’s why it’s important to bring this topic up. Moreover, Alzheimer affects enormous amounts of people every year and unfortunately, there is no treatment, so we have to draw as much attention as possible.
This film is amazing because it touches on such a crucial and sensitive topic at the same time. It tells us about Alzheimer’s disease (AD). It’s obvious that not many people are eager to talk about it. That’s why it’s important to bring this topic up. Moreover, AD affects enormous amounts of people every year. Unfortunately, there is no treatment, so we have to draw as much attention as possible. Likewise, working in a movie is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people. I met an amazing person – Herrold Torres who is my friend now. He is a real pro. He is so good at acting. Monica Bellucci was also in the cast. Surprisingly, that was her first time being killed in a movie. Being a part of the movie as well as having the opportunity to be behind the scenes is a valuable experience.

You are a perfect example of a person who achieved an ideal balance between working life and
private life. Can you tell us how you managed it?

I always try to put my family first and always make sure that they are OK with me doing a project or not. If it’s okay for them, then I will go for it. If it’s not, I will more likely put it off or turn it down.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians and actors?

No matter how scary and far your goals might seem to you, it’s important not to stop. You don’t have to have the best talent in the world, you just have to be persistent and go for it. I think working hard is definitely the key factor.

What’s next for Sol Romero? Is any new project on the horizon?

Well, I have an amazing manager in Switzerland. She is so good. We are working hard and getting tons of things done on Social Media and offline. So, definitely, keep an eye on what we are doing. And then, I love to work with new music, so Sargento Rap and I are producing a new song. I am always keeping my door open for any kind of exciting projects.
