Rihanna performed at the Super Bowl – she returned to the stage after five years and announced that she was expecting her second child

The 57th Super Bowl was held in the United States – the final of the National Football League (NFL). This is one of the main sporting events of the year, only in the States it is watched by about a hundred million people. This time the winner was Kansas City, who beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38:35.

But for those who are not interested in American football, the most interesting traditionally happened at halftime. In 2023, Rihanna, one of the most successful pop singers of our time, became the headliner.

The performance at the Super Bowl was her first in five years – and fans have been waiting for the new album even longer. During this time, the Barbadian singer built a business empire around cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty and designer brand Fenty (part of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy), starred in two films (and recorded the soundtrack for another), and became a major philanthropist.

The Super Bowl performance looks like Rihanna’s full-fledged return to music (she’s already writing new songs). By the way, Rihanna, like many other artists, did not receive a cent for the concert (the NFL, however, covers all the costs of preparation) – all because the main value of the Super Bowl lies in the huge audience.

In the allotted 13 minutes, Rihanna performed abridged versions of several hits. It was not easy to choose: according to the performer, she had to redo the set list for the performance at least 39 times. As a result, the list of songs turned out like this:

Bitch Better Have My Money
Where Have You Been
Only Girl (In The World)
We Found Love
Rude boy
Work
wild thoughts
Pour It Up
All of the Lights
Run This Town
Umbrella
Diamonds
