Met Gala 2022 is the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute charity event held on the first Monday in May to raise funds for the Costume Institute. Unofficially, this event is considered the party of the year.

Each year the event has its own theme. This year, the dress code has become “gilded glamour”. This year’s hosts were Regina King, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Honorary members of the jury were Anna Wintour from Vogue, Adam Mosseri who is the head of Instagram, and Tom Ford.

The Met Gala includes cocktail time and a formal dinner. At cocktail time, guests arrive, walk the red carpet, visit the year’s special themed exhibition, and sit down to dine while watching performances from prominent artists. This theme not only sets the tone for the annual show, but also the guests, who must dress in accordance with the theme of the year, choosing outfits from the world’s top designers.
