Microsoft announced the purchase of a stake in the London Stock Exchange
Microsoft Corporation announced the decision to acquire a 4% stake in the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and the beginning of a 10-year partnership.
“This strategic partnership is an important step in the LSE’s journey to become a leading global financial market infrastructure and data infrastructure business and will transform the experience of our clients,” said LSE CEO David Schwimmer.
The partnership will leverage next-generation data and analytics and cloud infrastructure solutions, building a new data infrastructure for the London Stock Exchange, and analytics and modeling solutions using Microsoft Azure, artificial intelligence and Microsoft Teams.
